My lifelong passion for movement began at age 5 when I began dancing. I loved music and rhythm and as an adult, I loved teaching dance. I love helping others find joy in movement.

At age 10,  I was introduced to yoga, at a time when very few classes existed. A very different style of movement - but it was there I experienced the power of the mind-body connection.  Still dancing, and teaching dance in my 30's, I was introduced to Pilates, where I experienced the powerful mind-body connection again and learned the significance of how the mind-body-spirit relationship impacts a person's physical, emotional, and personal well-being.

These experiences made lasting impressions on me that culminated in 2013 when I fell and suffered a devastating injury: a vertebral compression fracture (a broken back). It was my passion for movement and thorough knowledge of the body that helped me achieve a successfully recovery despite doubting doctors!

Today, I am excited to help you achieve your own success story. I have coupled over 30 years of movement expertise and health education experiences with my deep love of nature, to create a studio that looks over a beautiful marsh,  where you can enjoy the view, sounds and scents of the outdoors while I help you experience the healing power of movement!

Pilates is the best movement discipline on so many levels: for post-rehab, for building body awareness; increasing athletic performance, adding strength and flexibility--even if you're 'not flexible.' The Pilates Method is the best life-changing movement I know. It  becomes part of who you are, in your day to day life, allowing your tasks to be accomplished with less effort. If you are ready to make a change I bring a lifetime of experience in movement instruction, as well as national certifications.

Movement that feels good: that's Pilates.
